When asked if I can recommend a tripod, I have these thoughts to share…
Will you want to place it in your carry-on luggage or backpack? You would need to consider the overall length when collapsed. What is the height of the person using it? In an ideal world, the center of your canvas should be at your standing eye level so consider the overall height when extended. Weight is always a consideration so you might want to spend a little more for a carbon fiber model instead of aluminum. A ball head will offer the most flexibility and a quick connect makes assembly fast, especially if you can leave the quick connect hardware attached to the easel. (Don’t forget it’s there when you go out to take photos then find it’s attached to your easel and you can’t mount your camera. It’s a good idea to buy extra quick connect plates if using your tripod for photography.)
A brand I like and use myself because of the large variety of models at a reasonable cost are K&F Concepts . Consider the load capacity the tripod will hold when reviewing them. You’ll want some strength to those legs at the most reasonable weight you’ll want to carry. I hope this helps with your decision making.
